Space–time prism in multimodal supernetwork - Part 1: Methodology

چکیده

Space–time prism (STP) modeling offers a theoretical base for various person-based space–time accessibility measures. It has been challenging to construct STPs in multimodal transportation networks because of the vast trip chaining options between private vehicles and public transportation. This study suggests an effective method narrowing down space. The involves three incremental strategies eliminate parking locations that contribute little enlarging STP. First, upper bound potential path area (PPA) is constructed remove all inferior locations. Second, partitioned only complementary attractive are selected. Third, triangular inequalities applied pruning. selected used compact supernetwork encompassing one episode activity participation. Consequently, STP PPA can be found by existing two-stage bidirectional search method. Experimental tests conducted demonstrate effectiveness 1–2 orders speedups achieved with compromising accuracy measuring accessibility. suggested applicable large-scale networks.

Grounded theory in nursing research: Part 1--Methodology.

The epistemological underpinnings of grounded theory make it valuable in the study of nursing, which is premised on an interpersonal process between nurses and clients. Further, it is a useful style of research when there is little prior information about a topic. In this article (Part 1), Terence McCann and Eileen Clark outline the key features of this methodology. In the follow-up article (Pa...

Bone Marrow Transplantation in Thalassemia (Part 1)

During the last two decades conventional therapy has improved the prognosis of thalassemia. However, despite such improvement it still remains a progressive disease with treatment-related complications such as hepatitis, liver fibrosis, and cardiac disease. Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) can prevent or delay progression of the aforementioned complications. The importance of clinical research...
